We booked this hotel because my family want to take a holiday to visit Takoro National Park while in Taiwan. We arrived and departed on the train and was able to arrange the staff to drive us between the train station and the hotel since we are a family of 5. The complementary breakfasts were great with interesting and delicious food and good selection for everyone in the family. There were also complementary drinks and crackers during the day after breakfast which was great after a day of exploring the national park. The room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. The complementary washing machine and dryer was really useful because we have small children which tend to be messy. We also tried the Sunrise restaurant attached to the hotel the last night and the food quality was very high. The staffs were really friendly and helpful and even the two cats on the premise were very friendly. We would miss the breakfasts on the deck with the cats and the great food for years to come.

Our family of 3 had a really nice 2 night stay in a triple room. The room was small but fine, bathroom was a good size, everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good with juice, breads, fresh fruit, bao, chinese food and western food options. We enjoyed the bao and fruit jelly. Staff was friendly and helpful, gave us boxes to pack food to take for a very early morning tour (before breakfast opened) Location was perfect, very near Taroko park entrance. We drove into Hualien for dinner for more options. The free laundry was a bonus. We enjoyed our stay, and I would highly recommend the Liiko hotel for a visit to Taroko.

Beautiful views from the hotel room. The staff were incredibly helpful, and really made an effort to accommodate English-speakers! We were initially considering cancelling our booking when we discovered that the Taroko National Park was still closed. However, we’re so glad we didn’t! We hiked to Luyi Lake from Shoufeng (trains are easy from Xincheng-Taroko station, a five-minute walk from the hotel). We cycled down the coast, and spent an entire day exploring the wonderful city of Hualien. Even without Taroko, this area is still very much worth a visit, and this hotel is the perfect place to stay while you do!

The staff were extremely helpful, warm and friendly. From getting us into our rooms early, making extra phone calls to help us locate a local growing some macaw plants, to making sure we had all the refreshments and breakfast items we needed, everyone seemed genuinely interested and invested in our happiness. The decor was natural and tasteful, elegant while homely. Beautiful views, convenient to both the small older part of town and Taroko. Super delicious breakfast with some homemade jams. Natural eco soaps.

We only stayed one night, but it was a good stay. The facilities are very nice and modern, including a beautiful garden, a cozy lobby (with free coffee and tea). The room was very spacious and the views from the room were really nice! The highlight of the stay was definitely the breakfast buffet. It had both Taiwanese and Western offer, with a wide varied of options.
